INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 16, 2016) — 16-year-old Andrew Caes and his family recently took a vacation to Italy – all thanks to the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.

Andrew, a student at Bethesda Christian School, was diagnosed with Myxoid liposarcoma cancer in 2015. When the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund decided to send him to Italy, he picked Florence because of family friends living in the city. The Caes family – including Andrew’s three sisters – spent eight days in Italy, visiting Rome as well. The day after the family returned from their trip, Andrew got some big news: his doctor declared him cancer-free.

The Children’s Wish Fund, a statewide wish-granting organization for young Hoosiers ages 3 to 18, who’ve been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.

Andrew, his mother Analise and Beverly Smith from the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund stopped by our studios to tell us more about the organization and how you can help them grant wishes.
